This week I was honoured to see my cosy crimes advertised in The Scarborough Fair brochure. The Fair is an important annual arts festival in the town. I visited Scarborough and Filey for author talks at the library in each town this week.  Thank you to everyone who came and bought books too. It was an incredible, busy day! My books were spotted for sale in the railway station at Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, where I spent a few days holiday. And the books are also for sale in the Monarch hotel in Bridlington, owned by Alfa Travel.  All Alfa hotels up and down the country sell my books, with £1.50 from the sale of each one going to their charity, Re-engage. And I popped into Waterstones Sunderland to sign a pile of books! I was also featured in the Northern Powerhouse edition of The Bookseller magazine, with my next cosy crime set in Scarborough. This week has been another wonderful one.  I'm taking a break from writing novels for the rest of this year, although I am still writing my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine as well as short stories for myself.  I'm also involved as a judge in a prestigious short story competition, more details later if I can reveal them. This week I gave a short talk at Ryhope Heritage Group on how the real life toffee factory inspired my novels.  My talk came after the main talk by Dorothy Hall, Chair of Chester-le-Street heritage group who spoke about Horner's toffee factory and Dainty Dinah toffee. Working with Chester-le-Street heritage group, I attended the exhibition of Horner's toffee factory and Dainty Dinah toffee. The exhibition ran over three days at The Lambton Hotel in the town, and I attended on the final day with my books for sale.
