Scarborough Fair, Filey and Library Talks - My Writing Week

This week I was honoured to see my cosy crimes advertised in The Scarborough Fair brochure. The Fair is an important annual arts festival in the town.

I visited Scarborough and Filey for author talks at the library in each town this week.  Thank you to everyone who came and bought books too. It was an incredible, busy day!

My books were spotted for sale in the railway station at Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, where I spent a few days holiday.

And the books are also for sale in the Monarch hotel in Bridlington, owned by Alfa Travel.  All Alfa hotels up and down the country sell my books, with £1.50 from the sale of each one going to their charity, Re-engage.

Also this week there's a guided walk of my book locations in Ryhope.  It takes place on Saturday 28 June and if you'd like to join in, the Facebook group is here.

Elsewhere this week, I was invited to take part in the Jesmond Library 24-hour readathon to help raise funds for the library and the National Literacy Trust. My 15 minutes reading slot is 2pm on Friday 26 June.

And whilst in Scarborough this week, I called into Waterstones and signed the piles of books, which have been moved once again to their own table by the door as you enter.  Thank you for all your support!

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016.
