BBC Radio Newcastle and Book Cover Reveal - My Writing Week

This week I began editing the first draft of my next novel The Bakery Girls. It'll be published in 2027 with Headline and you can pre-order it now right here.    The cover has been done and I revealed it this week, to a wonderful reception. Dundee and D C Thomson - My Milestone Writing Week

This week I hit a milestone when I type THE END on the first draft of The Bakery Girls.  However, there's still a long way to go with weeks of editing ahead, to get the draft into shape to send to my publisher Headline. This week I went out my author newsletter to my growing number of subscribers.  You can read the newsletter online, it contains two competitions to win free goodies.  Read it online here. Also this week I started gearing up to a month full of book launches.  The first one is at Featherbed books on Thursday 21 May, which is the release day in paperback of my third and final saga in the toffee factory trilogy. Castle, Chocolate, Crime and Competitions - My Writing Week

This week I've continued to make good progress writing the first draft of  The Bakery Girls .   I aim to finish the book soon and then there's weeks of editing and rewriting to do. My author newsletter for May was sent to subscribers today. It has two competitions and some special news in it.   Read it online here . I started to plan for the book launch of the final book in the Toffee Factory Girls trilogy. It's released on May 21 and is called  Celebrations at the Toffee Factory. I visited a brand new Waterstones store in the Arnison Centre, Durham.  It's wonderful to see new bookshops opening, and great to see my books on the shelves. This week I also gave a talk at Guisborough Library for World Book Night. It was a talk about my Scarborough cosy crimes and I really enjoyed it. I received some wonderful feedback too.
