Banners, bookmarks, sewing and Scarborough - my writing week

Image
This week I went on holiday to my favourite place of Scarborough in Yorkshire. Now, regular readers will know that Scarborough is where my series of cosy crimes are set. And so it was a real treat to visit the town before I continue editing my second cosy crime  Curtain Call at the Seaview Hotel. When I returned from holiday, I was over the moon to find my new banner... ... and bookmarks waiting for me.  I'll use the promo banner for zoom calls and online talks I'm giving later this year. For details of all talks, please follow me on  Facebook and take a look at my events. And here's the reverse of the bookmarks, showcasing the two very different genres I now write in. Murder at the Seaview Hotel    was included in The Bookseller magazine this week as one of 11 titles to watch in this year's online London Book Fair. Leaving cosy crimes for a moment, and returning to my sagas set in the mining village of Ryhope, this week I donated another batch of 40 books to Ry...

New banner and bookmarks

Image
Over the moon with my new promo banner. This one showcases the first of my two cosy crime novels set in a Scarborough B&B, the Seaview Hotel.  I'll use the banner when I'm doing zoom calls about the book or online talks. I may even use it for real-life talks if such things are permitted in the coming months too. I also have new bookmarks showcasing the cosy crimes on one side... ... and the saga books on the other side. Such a wonderful, colourful contrast, I love it. If you'd like a free bookmark, get in touch and I'll send one to you. __ Glenda Young Twitter: @Flaming_Nora Facebook: GlendaYoungAuthor

Signing sagas in Scarborough

Image
Just back from a wonderful holiday to my favourite place in the UK - Scarborough. While there, I visited their branch of Waterstones and signed my sagas which were on the shelves.  Chatted to the booksellers in the shop too, and told them all about my debut cosy crime that's coming out later this year. It's called Murder at the Seaview Hotel and is set in Scarborough. Before I'd even left the shop and while I was signing my sagas, the lovely bookseller had already ordered my cosy crime for the shop! __ Glenda Young Twitter: @Flaming_Nora Facebook: GlendaYoungAuthor
