Hartlepool research, Scarborough Spy, planning and plotting - my writing week

This week a friend of mine travelled on the North York Moors railway and sent me this wonderful picture of my books for sale in the shop.  A bargain price too!

Elsewhere this week, two of my events for the launch of Secrets of The Toffee Factory Girls were included in The Crack magazine in the northeast. Cheers to the Crack!

And my cosy crimes were featured in The Scarborough Fair brochure, available to collect everywhere in Scarborough.

My author newsletter for May went out and you can read it online here.

However, this week has mostly been taken up by putting the finishing touches to research and preparation for planning and plotting of my cosy crime number 5 set in Scarborough.

That's why I travelled to Hartlepool this week, to interview a member of the band Venus Grrls as part of research for my book.

And I'm delighted to say my cosy crimes and a feature about me was included in Scarborough Spy magazine. If you haven't read it yet, do pick up a copy if you're in town, it's fantastic!

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

I also kept the Coronation Street Blog ticking over with news and editing the team of 16 bloggers.
