Radio, Secrets and pressing SEND - my writing week

This was a big week as I pressed SEND on cosy crime number four, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel set in Scarborough. It's gone to my publisher, Headline, but it'll be back later this year with structural edits and changes.  For now, however, I'm going to take a well-earned rest for a few months.

This week I attended Saint Paul's church summer fayre in Ryhope, where my novels are set. It was a wonderful day where I talked to lots of fantastic people.

My new book The Toffee Factory Girls was given a fantastic review and great coverage in Living North magazine, the north's glossy mag!

The second in my trilogy about the toffee factory girls is now available to pre-order!  It's called Secrets of The Toffee Factory Girls and is available here.

I was interviewed twice on radio - on Durham On Air - about my new book The Toffee Factory Girls

And I was interviewed live on Radio South Shields about the book too.

Thanks go this week to my local CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Branch for including my novels in their article on Ryhope's Guide Post Inn, fictional home of Ruth Hardy and her family in The Paper Mill Girl. Thanks to Keith and Julie who run the place too, for their help with research!

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

I also kept the Coronation Street Blog ticking over with news and editing the team of 16 bloggers.
