Pressing SEND, Scarborough, libraries and more - my writing week

This week I pressed SEND on the manuscript of the first in the trilogy, The Toffee Factory Girls.  It's now with my publisher, who'll return it to me in a few months' time with structural edits. Then it's back and forward between author and publisher to polish the book and make it the best it can be.  I need to start researching the next book in this series and begin writing it, later this year. Until then, I have a few months where I can let my mind wander in all kinds of strange, creative directions and I'm looking forward to see what happens.
Also, this week, my third, upcoming cosy crime novel Foul Play at the Seaview Hotel published later this year with Headline, was featured in The Bookseller magazine as an agents' top tips for a script!  What an honour.

Set during the miners' strike of 1921, my novel The Miner's Lass is just 99p during April at http://bit.ly/TheMinersLass published by Headline

I received three copies of the Large Print version of my cosy crime Curtain Call at the Seaview Hotel. These I am donating to three local community libraries - Fulwell Community Library, Back on the Map library at Hendon and Kayll Road library, part of Pallion Action Group.  I've signed them too.

I also visited Scarborough for a lovely, long weekend on holiday. While there I signed copies of my cosy crime set in the town - Murder at the Seaview Hotel.

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

I also kept the Coronation Street Blog ticking over with news and editing the team of 16 bloggers.

See you next week!
