To Amsterdam for our spring jollies. The reason for going was to see the once-every-10 years horticultural show, the
Floriade. It wasn't all that we hoped it would be but it was enjoyable enough, just.
Then a day at the tulip bulb fields and the wonderful, magical Keukenhof gardens. This, for a couple of amateur gardeners, was a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. The place is stunning. Get there early before the crowds descend.
And after two days of walking, it was time to sit down and have a well deserved drink.
I liked Amsterdam a lot and I'd deffo go again.
