It was a good day, I was feeling fine, when a work colleague asked me if I'd ever fancied David Cassidy when I were a lass. Have I ever fancied David Cassidy? Who hasn't? And just as I was reminiscing about him being my first, real, proper crush (Donny Osmond didn't count) I found out that David Cassidy turned 60 this week.Now I feel old. Quite, quite old.

Interesting Cassidy fact is that he and Alice Cooper were good mates and used to play golf together. Cassidy envied Cooper's coolness but Cooper envied Cassidy's ability to attract the girls.
He was on my bedroom wall, alongside Donny Osmond, David Essex, Showaddywaddy, Mud, the Jackson Five ... there wasn't much point in wallpapering my room.
