Keeping it local on World Book Day - My writing week

It's been a fantastic week!   I've started writing my next historical saga for Headline. It's called The Bakery Girls and I've made a wonderful, strong start.   Elsewhere this week my new book Celebrations at the Toffee Factory  was included in The Bookseller's list of paperbacks coming out in May.  They also included an image of the book cover, which was good to see. I held the book launch for the hardback version of  Celebrations at the Toffee Factory.  This was held in the Crafty Gift Shop in Chester-le-Street, on the site of the toffee factory which inspired the books. The lady who owns the shop decorated the window and is such a great support. In another local, supportive shop, The Petal Patch in Ryhope (where my Ryhope sagas are set and where I'm from), a local trader is making mini versions of my books in a mini bookcase.
