Amazon Bestseller, Elvis, Short Story and a Box of Books - my Writing Week

This week was Elvis week, an international celebration of the King of Rock and Roll.  As a homage to the man, meet 12 Elvis impersonators (Twelvis!) in my Scarborough cosy crime Murder at the Seaview Hotel. It's just 99p this month at bit.ly/MurderAtTheSeaviewHotel

Elsewhere this week I was honoured to see my next Scarborough cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel, in The Bookseller's Buyers Guide.  Order your copy at bit.ly/DeadlyDancing

I had a short story included in The People's Friend Special magazine. The story is called The Farmer and His Goat.

This week I received the first of my author copies of my next Scarborough cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel.  Order your copy at bit.ly/DeadlyDancing

And I'm pleased to say my Scarborough cosy crimes are now available free on Kindle Unlimited. Download them for free here.

The big news this week was that my first cosy crime Murder at the Seaview Hotel became an Amazon bestseller!  Download it now at bit.ly/MurderAtTheSeaviewHotel

And I took some time away from work to spend a wonderful week in Dunoon.  Whilst there, I signed books at the Selborne Hotel. This is part of the Alfa Leisureplex chain, who sell my books in all of their hotels with proceeds going to the Re-engage charity, who work to prevent loneliness in older life.

And don't forget, this little beauty is just 99p this month at bit.ly/MurderAtTheSeaviewHotel

And here I am opening the box of books of my author copies of my next Scarborough cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel.  Order your copy at bit.ly/DeadlyDancing

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

I also kept the Coronation Street Blog ticking over with news and editing the team of 16 bloggers.

Short Story, 99p offer, An Audience With and a new competition - My Writing Week

This has been a milestone week as I sent off my fifth cosy crime to my publisher, Headline.  There's still a long way to go through the editing process before it's considered 'done'. Now I wait for it to be returned with suggested edits. Then I grit my teeth and go back in and unpick things that need doing. It's hard work but all worth it. It makes for a much stronger book in the end.

In the run up to my ballroom dancing cosy crime Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel, being released, I've a short story in this week's My Weekly magazine. It's about the world's grumpiest dance teacher.

My first cosy crime Murder at the Seaview Hotel is just 99p this month. Download it here. Bargain!

I've got another competition running on my blog for you to win two of my books with a Scentsy room warmer.  Enter here.

And I called in at The Word in South Shields, one of my favourite places in the northeast. I'm speaking there in September as part of the Write Festival. Book your place here.

Also in The Word is a great shop where my books are sold.

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

Keep Dancing, Keep Writing, and Enter to Win - my writing week

This week I've continued editing my fifth cosy crime novel. It's a slow and careful process unpicking what doesn't work and strengthening the parts that do.  It'll be ready in a few more weeks after more careful picking and knitting it back together.

There's a new competition this week to win a signed copy of Murder at the Seaview Hotel and a box of Milk Tray. Enter here.

My August newsletter was sent out. It has a new competition, a 99p offer and a cover reveal. Read it all here.

Also this week I popped into The Crafty Gift Shop in Chester-le-Street. It's the only shop in the town that sells books. If you're in the area, do call in and support a wonderful local business.

This month my Scarborough cosy crime Murder at the Seaview Hotel is just 99p. Download it here.

And as I get excited about this year's Strictly Come Dancing - my favourite TV show - here's a preview of my next cosy crime to be published later this year!  Pre-order it here.

My cosy crime about obsessive crazy golfers, Foul Play at the Seaview Hotel, is now available in Italian and what a gorgeous cover they have designed.  You can order it here, ciao!

I took a day away from my work this week to visit Eden Camp, a prisoner of war camp in Yorkshire. It was a sobering experience but well worth a visit and I highly recommend it.

And finally this week, spotted on the romance sagas table at Waterstones Newcastle, my toffee factory girls front and centre. What a joy.
