After a night at the the-ay-ter, when I write a blog post about the show, I normally nick a picture from a website and stick it on my blog. Not so with Priscilla Queen of the Desert. What you see above is my very own picture, taken in the interval of the show at the Palace Theatre this week. The show? Oh you know... it was just about the most fantastic musical I've ever seen and goes up there in the top 5 shows I've ever seen in London.
It was absolutely brilliant - funny, heartwearming with gob-smackingly outrageous outfits. And if you're not singing and clapping along with the drag queens by the end then you'd better check your pulse as you surely must be dead.

Haven't been to theatre land for years but this show has tempted me something rotten - I love the film and have a sneaky admiration for Jase. He's come through a lot and yet remained a nice guy.
It's definitely worth making a trip to London for, honest!
You are always at the bloody the-ay-ter woman.
I bet you never actually watch Corrie - just make it all up.
I have to agree, Nora, having seen it several weeks ago myself!! Fab production, which surpassed my expectations, much better than the movie. So glad you enjoyed it. And Jason "talcum powder" Donovan surpassed my hopes too. Hot bod and good singing voice!
My favourite bit was ... obvious I know ... but with the diva drag queen on top of the bus (astride a high heeled shoe) miming to the Italian opera, with her cloak billowing out from behind - absolutely amazing.
Kaz - you do know I make it all up in the weekly updates?
OC - that was my favourite part of it too!
