Expert Panel, Smart Sleuthing, WRITE Festival, Bestseller in Spain - My Writing Week

This week there was a wonderful review of my new ballroom dancing cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel, in The Peterborough Telegraph.  "The author's a Strictly fan and mixes sequins and sinister events in synchronised fashion with good humour, smart sleuthing and a returning cast of great characters".

I gave a talk this week as part of the WRITE! Festival at The Word in South Shields. It was very well attended and we had a lot of laughs as I spoke about my new ballroom dancing cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel

I'm one of the organisers of the Ryhope Heritage Society exhibition and film show. It'll take place on Tuesday October 28 at Ryhope Community Centre. The Sunderland Echo gave us a lovely write up and you can read it online here.

The winner was announced in the competition to win a signed hardback copy of my new ballroom dancing cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel

The book launch was announced for my new ballroom dancing cosy crime, Deadly Dancing at the Seaview Hotel and all are welcome. It'll be held in Scarborough on Friday 5 December at 2.30pm. All details and tickets here.

And I was invited to be on an expert panel giving advice to budding writers. This was a new experience for me, the first time I've done this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was part of the WRITE! Festival in South Shields at The Word.  All details here.

And also this week, Murder at the Seaview Hotel is a bestseller in Spain. Its Spanish version was rated on the Ediciones Monoculo website and you can read the whole review here.

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

I also kept the Coronation Street Blog ticking over with news and editing the team of 16 bloggers.
