This week I've been luxuriating in that strange in-between stage of having finished writing my cosy crime novel, and having to start going back to it to edit it. I've read it all through and now need to get my editing head on and start ripping it to pieces and sticking it back together again!
I visited Sunderland Waterstones where Murder at the Seaview Hotel was on their cosy crime table. My sagas are by the till and on the shelves too. Booksellers are the best.
I was announced as a guest speaker at this year's Write Festival in South Shields at The Word. All details here.
The winner was announced in my competition to win a signed book and box of toffee.
And here are the two sweetest words an author can write, happy to say they were mine this week!
My talk at Sunderland Library on Saturday 26 July was promoted widely by Sunderland Libraries, Sunderland Culture House and included in the brochure for Sunderland Heritage Festival. All welcome.
And the heritage festival was included in The Sunderland Echo where I was mentioned as a festival highlight. Read it all here.
Also, another competition drew to a close. This time the winner received a bouquet of flowers from Pretty Busy Blooms in Chester-le-Street along with two signed books from me.
I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.
