The Christmas tree’s coming down this weekend as it’s twelfth night on Friday January 5. Is there anything sadder than Christmas decorations still up after New Year? Their sparkle seems dull, unwanted, unloved.

And it's also bad luck to have your decorations up after that date. I too will be taking mine down (decorations that is). It was fun while it lasted, eh?
I'd forgotten all about it being bad luck too. of course! Anyway, it's all gone now, all the tinsel, everything. Gone.
