Crime, drama and Christmas Fayres - my writing week

This week has put my head in a spin. I've been writing, almost daily, my new saga set in 1919. I'm almost a quarter of the way through my first draft.

And I've also had two novels to edit. The first was my second cosy crime Curtain Call at the Seaview Hotel which needed a final read through with some comments from my publisher before the page proofs are printed, which I'll need to read again. And the second novel I've been editing is my saga that is released next year.

It's called A Mother's Christmas Wish, and I think, my favourite of all my sagas so far. It was a joy to revisit this book and work on the edits from the proof reader. This will take some time to edit, so I'm separating my days into distinct mornings for writing my new book and afternoons for editing my last one.

Did you know that my books are available in large print? You can ask your local bookshop or library to order for you or you can now order direct online

I'm featured on The Table Read website this week where I explain how and why I wrote my cosy crime, Murder at the Seaview Hotel. It's a good, short read and it's here.

I had a short crime story called A Grave Matter published in Take a Break Fiction Feast, it's in the shops now.

I'll be at the United Reform Church in Roker, Sunderland on Saturday 11 December from 11-3 with a stall selling my books. Come along and say (a socially-distanced, mask-wearing) hello!

I crafted another episode of my weekly soap opera Riverside for The People's Friend magazine. I've been writing Riverside weekly since 2016 and you can find out all about it here.

I also kept the Coronation Street Blog ticking over with news and editing the team of 16 bloggers.

See you next week!
