To the Rise festival in Finsbury Park on Sunday just gone.
Musical highlight of my afternoon / week / last 28 years was listening to this performed live once again. It was the first time I'd seen Terry Hall and (most of) The Specials perform live since 1980.
A happy afternoon indeed.

A wonderful afternoon indeed but spoilt at the end by the bureaucrats turning off Jimmy Cliff because of the curfew. They could at least have let him finish the song he was doing. The festival used to be called 'Respect' but the organisers showed precious little of that to Jimmy on Sunday. I blame that pillock of a mayor, Johnson. And many thanks to his predecessor Ken for organising all the good bits of the day.
Ken did us all proud. Poor Jimmi though, being cut off in his pride and we never got to hear him sing "Pressure Drop" either. ;-(
You see the coolest stuff.
I am jealous.
Ah, but you live in Japan. It's a fair deal. ;-)
