In July 2013 I found this glass pebble on Scarborough beach. It's a lot smaller than it looks in the above picture.
Here it is next to a 5p piece:
With thanks to the Finds Office at the British Museum, the pebble has been identified as a bead that may have been used as part of a rosary, dating from the post medieval or early modern period.
