Just finished reading Six Suspects by Vikas Swarup. He's the author of Q&A, the book they turned into the film Slumdog Millionaire. Six Suspects was really good, highly entertaining and I thoroughly recommend it.
Other books I've read recently include Nick Hornby's new one, Juliet, Naked, which was pretty good. But don't read it if you're hungry for a thick steak of a book, it's more of a cheese omelette. And also very good was Tracy Chevalier's Remarkable Creatures.
'Such a good writer. She's fantastic!' Woman's Hour, BBC Radio 4

Always grateful for reading recommendations, thanks. I'll look out for them. I've just finished Val McDermid's A Darker Domain. Very good indeed and not creepy like some of her stuff.
Ditto. Got the wife's birthday coming up next month; you've given me some very useful pointers. Ta.
Yes, thank for the recommendations, always looking out for something new.
Judith I've just read that too, very good.
