There's been a rumour that 80s pop and synth band Blancmange will be the support band for the, er, 80s pop and synth band Yazoo when they do their Reunited tour next month. I've had my Yazoo tickets for ages and ages, and yes I'm looking forward to it, ooh, just a bit. Whether Blancmange play or not, it'll be a great night. But anyway, I digress.
What I'm trying to say is that with Blancmange's Living on the Ceiling being used in a telly ad at the minute, it can't be long before the CD's reissued and their own jellied-up blancmange tour happens, can it?
Haven't a clue who Blancmange are? Then click here, my friend.

Living on the ceiling, no more room down there... and then that classic sitar break! Wonderful stuff. I'm proud to have had this on my MP3 player for the last 4 years and still play it regularly. A shame they were one hit wonder though. It could be a short set.
Yes "Living" was a great song and I love the way it's been used in that ad! I must correct Steve though - they were more than one hit wonders! Other chart hits included "Blind Vision" and "Don't Tell Me". So there!
Ooooh I'm jealous Nora - wish I was coming on that tour with you!
Might have to go searching on the net for some Blancmange (the group that is).
I also must correct Steve in that Blancmange were much more than one hit wonders. One album wonders perhaps? Anyway, I've just ordered The Best of... online, can't wait. I've been singing God's Kitchen all day in my head.
