Yorkshire Puddings

These aren't mine, just a picture I picked up on the web but I'll making some later today for our Sunday dinner. Proper Yorkshire puddings are one of the top ten 10 baking wonders of my world.

Doesn't anyone make them as one large pudding, any more? When I was young these separate little ones were called Popovers, and Yorkshire pudding was one big pudding made in the roasting dish..

  4. Anonymous, you are a person after my own heart. My Nan used to make one big pudding by cooking it under a rack which had the meat on it so that all the juices went down into the pudding... lovely. Haven't had one of those for years.

  5. YUM...our Dad had a sweet tooth and used to put strawberry jam on his square of Yorkshire which was cooked in the big pan. I ALWAYS put jam on mine too.
