They are not at all nervous and will let you get quite close to them before they scamper off.

My mother, who lives in a large city, woke up one morning to find a small deer chewing the leaves of a bush in her front garden. I wouldn't have believed her, would have thought she was still suffering the effects of the night before, but she managed to get photographic evidence. Amazing.

The foxes round here aren't too manky!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32935512.post-26741156631912089142008-01-11T13:17:00.000+00:002008-01-11T13:17:00.000+00:00Yes London foxes are somewhat skanky and dirty - r...Yes London foxes are somewhat skanky and dirty - rather like the pigeons!

I have spotted an increasing number of foxes too in my locality. On the way to the bus stop just the other morning I spied one running out from a neighbouring garden with what looked like a piece of food shoved between its jaws! It's interesting how animals like this are getting increasingly tamer and can now be seen roaming the streets of our cities. Years ago this wasn't the case? Is Mr Foxy getting braver and bolder and becoming an urban dweller? Have to confess I'm a bit chicken at the prospect of coming up close to a fox, but they're not too dangerous are they?!Old Cheeserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17871751335676050949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32935512.post-23571993129391122512008-01-11T07:21:00.000+00:002008-01-11T07:21:00.000+00:00Lucky you - fox's are beautiful animals. We have quite a few of them around Leamington as the town is surrounded by farmland... always a treat to see them.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02133900289384226725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32935512.post-27779253199268767402008-01-10T22:12:00.000+00:002008-01-10T22:12:00.000+00:00I had never seen a fox in real life before until a...I had never seen a fox in real life before until about 15 years ago when a group of us went to Surrey (I was visiting from NZ) and there they were! I can't describe how childishly excited I was to have seen them as up until then foxes had been the stuff of movies, kids stories or documentaries!
