Boiled sweets

There is a joy to boiled sweets.  I blame my grandma for my addiction; she always had a packet of mints in her handbag and I find I'm much the same now.  And if it's not mints, it's a crumpled, white paper packet of rhubarb and custards or pear drops.

Here's my top three favourite boiled sweets;
